Who is the doctor in Atlanta? I have had a left knee and hip replacement. I am going to send my MRI and x-rays to Dr. Broyles in Louisiana in the next week to see if he can help my right knee. However, I don't believe he does Denovo in the hip. I also have an impingement in the right hip.
Let me tell you, hip replacements aren't so bad. Mine was done by Dr. Kreuzer in Houston, Texas, and he used the anterior approach. He also did my left knee. The man is a superb surgeon, but yikes, the knee replacement sure is different from the hip. And I say this in spite of the fact that Dr. Kreuzer rocks!!!!!!! The knee was a mess and he had to straighten my leg, so he spent extra time working on my knee and tibia ---- I had a 17 degrees valgus. He even used the Smith and Nephew that I insisted upon. And the outcome is unbelievably perfect anatomically. There is just something about a knee replacement. I am 6 months out so I know that my brain and body still has some adjusting to do. It has gotten better, but the rest of me still wants my next joints to be not so artificial shall I say.
