Hello to everyone,
Thought I'd give an update on my revision. It has now been almost a year from myi surgery. What a difference a year makes. Last year at this time I had fantasies about sawing off my own leg to get out of the pain. Now I'm almost pain free and at times I am pain free. Because my tendons on the lateral side were so scarred from the mis sized implant, I still have a tight IT band and gastroc and hamstring. Probably always will. I do lots of stretching and using a foam roller daily which helps and have to limit my activity. However, I don't use any aids and can go on short hikes and ride my regular bike. I'm not in excruciating pain every night and only occasionally take anything for pain. So, most days I feel like I hit the lottery. Going thru so much pain for so long makes one very appreciative and grateful. Each day I get to do things seemingly for the first time again. So the take away from all this is keep looking for answers even if your doctor (s) tell you there is nothing they can do it just soft tissue pain or something else. There is usually a reason for your pain with knee replacement. Keep looking on this site and searching the internet. There are good doctors out there that will try to figure things out it is just hard to find them and you have to see a lot of not so empathetic ones before you find the one to help you.
Wishing everyone less pain!
