Uni done 18 months ago right knee, now pain, ? loose?

As if its not enough that i am having uni surgery april 6 on l knee....my right knee (post op 18 mo uni )has been killin me. and its right there where it hurt before, medial side. Its swollen, the pain is with movement and sometimes ,esp at night, just there. and its quite painful when im tryin to find a position to go to sleep.its almostlike something is in there pinching me. and sore to the touch. any ideas?

Have this checked before the next surgery so it isn't a reaction of the implant.
You haven't had any incident before the pain started ?

well i had an xray and the os said it was just full of fluid, idk. i read somewhere if it was loose xray wouldnt tell. i havent thought about an allergic rx, oh man. no injury no, i have been quite active though and my knee has been in some awkward positions, idk, but it really hurts. thanks for the heads up ill ck bk with the os b4 wed surgery, thanks again

Hello Cshell, just wanted to let you know that my implant is loose though it's almost five years since I had the PKR surgery. My xray looks great however my ortho ordered a bonescan and thats how i knew for sure that it's loose. Good luck to you and i hope the surgery on the 6th goes well.

thanx for the reply cindy. wuz wandering what ur symptoms were like? I get a pinching sensation, right on the medial side which of course is where i had the uni. its painfl to touch, and hurts with movement and even without movement. Just wantin to get a feel of ur symptoms to c if this is poss whats goin on, thanks again, and i hope everything works out well for u
