Complete rupture of patella and MCL tendons
« on: March 29, 2010, 07:58:50 PM »
At the end of Jan 2010, had a fall whilst skiing in Poland. Competely ruptured my patella and medial tendons in my right leg. Had the surgery in the UK 4 days after the fall. The Dr reconnected everything and left a wire connecting my shin and kneecap to stop my leg from bending. Was in a cast for 2 weeks, then had the stiches out. Was meant to go back in a cast for 4 weeks, but it was so uncomfortable i asked for a leg brace locked straight, which they did.
Had the wire out a week ago, and i was allowed 30 degrees bend. This week they are allowing me 60 degrees bend, but i dont thick i can get past 30, as it feels very tight, almost as if it has siezed. Has anyone else experienced this? Will it free up with pysio or, will it mean more surgery.

Would appreciate any views on this,

Sloppy
