Good luck tomorrow with your surgeries!!!! Hopefully they're the last surgeries that either of you will need.
Happy Birthday Tez!!
I like the new title of this thread.

Ah Gee! Thanks guys! Aunt has arrived, and is sitting here with vino in hand. Rat is sitting next to me, and I am awaiting Snowy! Good news. My surgery time has been bumped up to 3pm, and I am still allowed to drink clear fluids until 0800h.
Thanks Kristin...I hope this is the last one too!!

Hi guys! Sorry I've been leaving the updates to W and Rat - work is crazy and I've had these fun visitors to hang out with, so my time to post has been limited.
Tez - happy birthday! I know it's over in the UK now but it's still your birthday here so it still counts, right?
Not too long till your own date now. It sounds like the knee still isn't too happy...hopefully that's reassurance that you're doing the right thing moving ahead.
W and Rk4 - good luck to you both tomorrow! W, I should see you before (and after) the deed is done. Rk4, let's hope this sorts out some of the ongoing pain issues and gives you a break. It would be nice for you to have a few good days with the twins!
Everyone else - hi for now, proper catch up soon.

Rk4 and W... Good luck chaps, will be thinking of you both today. Fingers crossed for the best possible outcomes for you both!
Lottie - think we are going to be dodging the rain and lightning today! Mad mad mad weather we have with British summers now. The sky has gone ridiculously grey and dark within the last few minuts, and now the rain is lashing down. Nice!
Hugs to all today. Healing thoughts!

I am just going to echo the rest of the thoughts here - belated happy birthday to Tez (did post on facebook but forgot KG!) hope you had a lovely day and also that you have a few soothing vinos at the weekend.
And to the two surgery geek chicks today - lots and lots of luck and may these chops bring some happier knees for both of you!! I shall be thinklng of you both this evening our time and crossing all fingers and paws for a smooth and rapid recovery!
Both of you will be at the forefront of my mind!
Brams, I shall see you in a little while! Had just decided to wear summer frock but its now pitch black and thundering!! Still hot as anything though, well humid anyway. Perhaps a slight rethink might be in order or I'll look like a drowned Ascot race goer at this rate without the hat and fake tan though...
Lots of love sent over the pond to w and Rk4, may the knee surgeons be on TOP form today!

W & RK4 -Sending healing vibes and wishes that your surgeons have a good breakfast, lunch and easy day before you are in their hands. I too hope this is the answer for you both and you have pain free frolicking days ahead! My thoughts will be with you both all day and I am sure we will all be anxious to hear you are doing well after. Don't understate your pain & make sure to do your best to stay ahead of it with your meds. Big hugs to you both!
W- you should (or have Snowy) post a pic of your new goal heels!
RK4- Hope you are able to stay cool. Ice packs before surgery might be nice just for that.
Hello to everyone else, hope you all are well. Will check in later after work. A

Ok...it is 0657h here. I am lying on the bed on my computer drinking black coffee..yuck! Black coffee is better than no coffee. I have an hour and a half to drink as much as I can get in me..lol! My aunt is in the other room on the sofa bed, snoring like crazy. Thank goodness this is a little suite, or would not have gotten a wink.
We saw the coolest thing last evening when Snowy was here. It was really a nice clear evening, and we could see Mt. Baker off in the distance. It must be huge if you can see it here. It's in Washington state! I took some pics of it, but BC Place is in the way. That is the stadium that the opening ceremonies of the Vancouver Olympics was held at.
Well, this is going to be a long day! It was a toss up between trying to sleep the morning away, or to get up and drink, Drink won out!
RK4..I hope today is the start of some happy knee days for you.

Good luck to both W and RK4 today I am not sure what the time differences are but hope you both get the chance to read this before the slice and dice begins, if the good vibes coming from all your KG friends count for anything you should both have very successful surgery's today.
I will have to get up in the middle of the night to find out how you both got on but as that seems to be a common state for me its no biggie lol
Take care Tez

Hi Tez!
My aunt and I decided to spend the morning at the mall. I had to occupy myself! Note to self!! Do not walk through mall food court when NPO. Major mouth water going on! We are back at the hotel, and my aunt is drinking coffee and eating...again! This is the second time today I have had to watch her eat!
We leave for the surgery centre in an hour and a half!
I guess Rk4 should be under the knife by now. Tez, there is a 5 hour difference between you and Rk4. There is an 8 hour time difference between you and I at the present time!
Thanks again gang!!

Nearly there W! Good luck gal, will be thinking of you this evening. Hope the surgeons are cooking with gas tonight for you and Rk4...
The storms today knocked out my Internet - only just got it back!
I was panicking in case I missed anything!

Rk4 should be done and dusted now! I hope all went well. W will be on her way to theatre. She was texting away until about half an hour ago, according to the messages I just found on my phone.
I'll update everyone when I hear how she's doing.
Rat: seeing Mount Baker isn't nearly as much fun as skiing down it.
