OMG Happy Birthday W!!!! Monkey would have sent you a card had he known!!  ;D

Happy Birthday Brams too!!  8)

W you need to get your ass over here for a visit. We are all within very easy striking distance of each other in the triangle that is Bristol, Bramaland and Lottieland. Tez is a wee bit further afield!!  :'(

More laters gang, gym time for me. I fecked up my meds the past two days and Reggie has been a PITA. Brams will concur with this thought......is this what my life is now dependant on?????? Hell, I must buy shares in Pfizer.  ::)

Happy Birthday!!![/b]

Have a great day, W, preferably with the knees of your young and carefree self! Hope the world is a sunny place where you are, and you spend the day with a smile on your face... ;D

Freakily enough, my aunt lives near Bristol too (!) and I was born there!! I'm not very far from there myself now, so I think the Bermuda triangle  ;) of Brams, Lottie and W is indeed do-able....get yourself over here lass, and we'll sort it. Yay!

Sadly, the knees are clearly not in the mood to have their best day  ::) so maybe i won't be cruising round the shops today, lol. I, too, messed up my meds yesterday (clever girl, me) and I don't think they've forgiven me yet! The lovely irony of needing the meds to be taken regularly, but the meds making you a bit witless at times so that you are more likely to forget.....

Lol. Sod the knees. Happy Birthday!!

Hi All,

I finally have some time to spend on KG again and have just been working on my CV that my psychologist has been helping me with and think it is ok now. I have been a pain in the ass lately on FB and with my family and friends as I am getting very stressed out with my job and becoming more moody and swearing a lot more then usual and being very critical all the time on FB towards online friends and other users on FB and now realise it was wrong of me to be so pushy and impatient. If you are given a job of picking up nappies, condoms and tampons on the edge of a council estate on the golf course and have to walk through raw sewage then one is bound to get pissed off with work and usually get council contractors in to clear all the rubbish as it caused by people living in the estate and not in my job description! (even with a litter picker not right!)

On a positive note did you see my mums you car on FB a 09 black Peugeot 207 Verve and looks very smart and cannot wait to drive it in June when my mum and I go away on Holiday to Yorkshire!

I will start of with Brams and hope you had a really good Birthday weekend and sorry that your knees are still giving you some problems. I must say that you have a very talented Daughter and was mightily impressed with the drawing she did of Lottie, Emma’s cat and love her to draw Ellie and she could make a lot of money from her drawings and she just needs to sign and date her drawings to make them unique and add more value in the future.

Lottie, sorry for being a pain in the ass lately in FB and are right people are too busy or don’t see my status updates and admit I am a little on edge lately. How is Reggie doing and see that you have to get rabbit blood off your carpet and had to deal with a few dead corpses over the last couple of weeks!

Tez, how is the new car and is it nice to drive around in and as you know my mum got her new car today and is a lot better then a 54 plate Rover 45 and she has been very loyal to Rover since 1990 only buying Rover cars and before that was Peugeot’s so now gone back with them and pleased she likes her new car.

Snowy, how is the cycling going and has the snow thawed yet! It really cold and wet in the UK at the moment and is getting warmer again on Monday.

W, also wish you a happy Birthday and hope you have an enjoyable weekend with your family and celebrate in style. I hope you knees do not ruin you Birthday weekend for you!

Rk4, I know you still having knee pain and problems and hope you can get it sorted out sooner rather then later.

Robin, see you are also too busy to post on KG lately and think that’s a good sign that we got others things to do apart from KG that is a great website but have other stuff to do as well. $2 for cargo shorts is a bargain and glad you are still able to do your workouts!

Superrat, sorry your ankle giving you problems still and maybe it is time you saw an OS as it been a problem now for sometime now so best to get it checked over!

Sorry once again for being annoying on FB and KG lately and hope you guys forgive me!

Hi to everyone else and hope you are all having an enjoyable weekend.

Thanks for the Birthday wishes gang!

This has been a bit of a crazy day, and I haven't even gotten dressed yet!  The phone has been ringing off of the wall.  I kept waking up last night, and I couldn't figure out why.  Well, note to self...sign out of FB on your iPhone on your birthday!  Every time someone posted throughout the night, my phone would notify me....UGH.  It went off 32 times while I was in bed!  No wonder I kept waking up..lol!  It is nice to see all of the posts, but I could have waited to sign on to my computer..lol!

I have to go get dolled up now shortly.  I am going out for dinner with a friend.  There was supposed to be 3 of us for sure, and maybe 4, but our 3rd ended up having to do a patient escort to the east coast.  As of 1pm this afternoon, he had been up for 29 hours.  He is forgiven!

Brams...I hope you are enjoying your day!  I hope everyone else is as well!

Gee, I don't seem to have any time this weekend to do a proper post!!!

Happy day!!  Stationary bike is together.  I did most of it myself, but one part was a two person job.  Dad came down, as usual, he breaks out the big gun tools, and tightens everything up to the point that I think he is going to break something.  He didn't.

I just got on it to try, and it is perfect for what I need.  I am not allowed to use any resistance, and it seems a bit too easy.  I am just glad that I am allowed to do this!

Well, I had a really good B day meal last night.  We had leek and potato soup with herbed croutons and paprika oil, brazed lamb shank in a reduction of some sort with whipped potatoes, and honey glazed carrots. We shared a bottle of wine!  For dessert, we had chocolate brownies with homemade ice cream.  The dessert was underwhelming, but everything else was really good.

I am now off to Mom's for prime rib and yorkshire pudding.  Homemade carrot cake with cream cheese icing for dessert!  Gotta love B day week in our house.  My sister is the 26th, I'm the 28th, and Dad is the 30th.  This is a combo W and Dad meal tonight!

Just got the call, dinner is being served!

W - this is just getting too spooky....

 :o  ;D

We too have the birthday week madness - my youngest is the 23rd, my husband is the 24th, and I am the 28th!!!

Lol...

Glad you had a great day, mine was lovely if crazy as usual - far too much good food, I made chargrilled rump steak in an onion, mushroom, brandy and cream sauce (flambeed, of course, lol), with mash and peas.....it was sooooo yummy! Haven't had it for ages... Had some lovely presents from family and friends, including four (yes FOUR!) lots of flowers - the house smells lovely and looks like a florist is stalking me... ;D

Hope everyone had a good weekend and the knees behaved!

Hey Everyone.  Sorry I've also been MIA.  Haven't been doing anything exceptionally interesting but I did have a busy week of giving massages.

W...Hey girlie.  Glad that you had such a nice birthday.  You lucky gal; two birthday dinners in two days.  Yummy.  OMG. I haven't had Yorkshire pudding in soooo long.  I love it.  The steak/meat part doesn't do much for me but yay to carbs.  I'm happy to read that your knee has been behaving.  Go figure.  Maybe a couple Advils each day will be enough to get the knee feeling good enough to do more rehab. Glad that you got the stationary bike as well.  It's much easier to use than the bike on a trainer.  So happy weekend W.!!!  You are a year older and wiser. ;)

Brams...And you are a year older and wiser too, ey!  Your birthday celebration sounded fab.  I'm happy that you've celebrated appropriately.  I bet your house must smell just wonderful with all the nice flowers.  Hope that your (other!) knee isn't bothering you too much and that you are able to continue to row, row, row your boat.  Darn good therapy, tis.

Lottie...What is up with you?  I hope that you had a fab weekend and that the weather was nice.  How's the new job going for you?  I do believe you said you started it.   Oh, my.  I'm losing my blimmin' mind I think.

Tez...How are you feeling my dear?  Hopefully you are all better and the knee isn't giving you too much grief.  I'm glad that you have decided to just go for the surgery.  There isn't a single surgery out there that is guaranteed.  The odds are definately in your favor from what I've read about ACLr's.  It seems to have the same success rate as a knee replacement...about 90%.  Ain't nothing wrong with those odds!  I will be so very happy when I see you post that you had a day, a week, a month with no knee pain whatsoever.  There will come a day Tez.  Take it from this gal. :)

Nick...Good to see you posting.  I think everyone needs time away from the KG site so no need to apologize.  Sorry work has been so bad for you lately. I hope that soon you will be able to get the group together and start something completely new.  Don't give up on your dreams.

Snowy...Tinycats.  Oh.  My.  Thank you for the pics of the tinycats.  I hope M. is doing better tonight!  So sending positive thoughts up North to all the tinycats.  Oh, they make me smile.

Rk...I hope your weekend was not too hectic and that you were able to just relax and enjoy some down time.  (Is that possible with kids?)  Here's to hoping!

Super...Sorry 'bout the ankle. Hope it heals quickly and you are out and about on the slopes or whereever else you want to venture.

I can't believe another weekend is over.  I got some cleaning done, took a couple naps, went out to eat with the hubby this evening and even did a little bike ride outside.  All very low key.  Tomorrow I'm off to see a shoulder surgeon about my frozen shoulders X 2.  Good God.  I know he's going to want to stick me with a couple of cortisone shots.  I just know it.  From what I've read, cortisone helps only in the first few weeks of frozen shoulder.  Ah well.  We shall see.  My knee is still doing pretty good.  It was doing wicked good up until I think I may have overdone it on the bike.  I just couldn't help myself. :P  If I'm going to do personal training and massage, I'd better shape up or get the heck outta Dodge!  My books for the PT will be arriving this week and I should be certified within two months.  Hehe.  At least I feel like I've got a goal right now.  Sigh.

Stay out of trouble knees and other assorted body parts.  Hugs to all.  Robin  xx   8)

Omg Snowy!!  :o

The geology nut Brams is sooooooo jealous! How was it? Which volcano? Which part did you ski down (ie N, S, E or W flank)? Did you see any evidence of activity, venting etc?

Hope it was as wonderful as I'm imagining in my mind.... 8)

Brams  ;)

Have a frozen shoulder myself today Robin, ouch to the nth degree.... Plus had another 'Hobbycraft Incident' on the evening of my birthday. Stepped back, knee did wrong things, bones grated, pain spiked, luckily table and husband next to me so no fall, but v shaken. Confidence dented. Bloody knee. Grrr. Still swollen and wrong-feeling, but improved from yesterday, so am expecting no major probs.
