Hi All,
Once I have proper Internet access at the Library will be able to respond back to everyone. An iPhone is great and ok for short posts that you don't have to reply to as it can strain your eyes reading though posts on a small screen.
My Mum & I are going back home tomorrow and had a really good week in the Yorkshire Dales. I will start looking for a new job on Monday as I officially finish work at the golf club on Thursday 21st June. I need to start getting organised for my 1st AS Social & Support Group that starts on Thursday 28th June.
I have nearly completed my book and been typing the last two weeks about relationships and speak very openly and honest as many Aspies like to do! Also added a lot about work and the bullying I had to put up with. I think my book would make interesting reading for both Aspies & Neurotypicals and for parents with AS kids and those that work with autistic people.
Finally got my PAC code through from 3 Network to Tmobile after 10 phone calls and 2 calls to Ofcom who managed to get them to give me a PAC code as they ignored my request that was all recorded by Ofcom and had to take action against them in order to get the PAC and seemed to have done the trick please stay way from 3 Network or don't renew your contract with them when it runs out. They are the worse Mobile network provides on this planet with poor network coverage and very rude staff on the phones that are very pushy and had to ring up 3 times to cancel my contract as they would nJot accept no from me!
Right knee still causing problems and not run this week with some swelling and hope Dr Brown can sort it out next week Wednesday..

Thanks Lottie. You tell Reggie to smarten up or he will have to come to Canada and live with me. I won't be pampering him like you do. Hope the sock makes him feel a little better. Nothing like weather shift to make bad joints ache..
Enjoy the football match and curry..

Basically, Rk4 so sorry you've had another bad time with that knee, that op can't come soon enough for you

Brams -been there & it is maddening! Hope the cough takes a break and lets you sleep.
Lottie- Sorry the weather has Reggie irritated, hope the curry made you fell better despite him (if possible). I think your vacation plans sound delightful. It is too bad you can't swing a Vancouver run, but work does come first unfortunately. Too bad we all just weren't independently wealthy... Ahhh, I'd opt for free of pain long before that
Hope the kitties aren't too disturbed by the storm.
W- I really don't know where to start. Pain is mostly medial, though radiates to above patella and sometimes up quad. Sharp medial pain sometimes when going upstairs, sometimes not. Dull ache can overtake the entire knee -that's what usually keeps me up or wakes me up at night. Sharp pain if I walk too far (>50 ft
) So I don't know & apparently neither does anyone else. Before PJFR was purely anterior pain, so as a former veterinary surgeon I once worked with said "we may not be able to fix it, but can make it different". (In his defense he was talking about a poor kitty who jumped off 6-story building and shattered her rear legs -she came through ok). Getting so elliptical too painful again and bike out of the question. The scope did help a bit, but feel like I'm losing ground again. On top of this J really wants to start family (& me too, but less so) and I cannot fathom being pregnant and what that does to a good joint! I wouldn't be able to work, hard enough now, people already thinking I get angry too easy (little do they now they have seen only the slightly b___ me, I haven't the real B out in years! -And never at work!). Anyway -very cool your aunt is taking part of the journey with you and that you have some pool time before the blade.
RK4- How's the cold? Are you getting any relief? Wise to postpone classes, you do have a lot on your plate.
Tez- Hope the weekend gives you some R&R time and at least one good night of sleep. It probably sounds so odd to look forward to a surgery, but I'm sure you are counting the days. How's the convertible? Hope you are enjoying it.
Snowy -So you'll be entertaining again soon! Hope you have a safe trip home. I came around a corner this afternoon on my backroad shortcut into town and a buck was standing on the edge of the road and we were both so surprised all we could do was look at each other. He was quite handsome, and I'm so glad he stood still!
Well in morning we are off to my parents. J is helping Dad build new stairs up to his workshop. Mom is making us waffles with fresh strawberries (YUMMMM!). With any luck we will get a motorcycle ride in as well -supposed to be perfect here for weekend. It bothers my knee, but it frees my mind & therefore good trade-off
Have a great weekend everyone. Here's to happy feet, ankles & knees-A

Hey Brams yes that cough of doom is very annoying. I am down to just a few hack attacks a day.
A.. a bike ride.... man I could go for one of those to free my mind as well. Sorry the knee is still a pain,,, Actually the only time my knees didn't hurt was while I was pregnant. Hang in there.

Hi All,
I can finally read through everyone posts with a bigger screen as I may need to wear glasses in future as I am getting regular headaches the last couple of months when using my laptop and surfing the internet and now when I driving. I had a really painful headache yesterday driving down the M1 from Leeds and my mum had to take over and was the same on the way up. I feel pain in the front of my head behind my eyes.
I booked a free appointment with Vision Express next week Friday as it runs in the family as 5 out of my 6 sisters now wear glasses for reading or long distance and my brother & mum wear glasses so think I have a high chance of needing a pair after all the time I spent on my laptop writing my book it bound to do some damage to my eyes!
I have applied to train up to become a support worker for adults with learning disabilities in the Worcestershire area as I don’t mind moving down there as I am not that keen on Birmingham anymore. I don’t need qualifications they will train me on the job and the head office is based in Droitwich Spa and very nice traditional English Town and it the home Town where Droitwich Knee Clinic is based and not too big and overcrowded and is only 20 miles from my mums house so no too far from her that only takes 20 minutes down the M5 motorway.
http://www.nsf.uk.com/
http://www.droitwichspa.com/
I also found my dream home in the Town of Droitwich and is the same price as what I paid for my flat so could afford it. There is a 1 bed bungalow with a delightful garden and great size for a single person or a couple with no kids if I did find another girlfriend. I really like this property and already had the details posted!

Now gone through my future, will now reply back to posts!

As promised will now reply back to posts and already got a headache so glad I having an eye test done next week.
Rk4 ~ sorry you have got a cold on top of your knees problems and hope you are feeling better soon.
W ~ great news about your OS being listed on KG and that you don’t have to pay to have surgery done by him.
Robin ~ glad you come back again after time out from this thread and also had a long break as I am going though a lot of changes in my life right now so had no time to come on KG.
A ~ cats are great and Ellie likes to get in the way while I am typing on my laptop and she was really happy to see me again after boarding in the cattery for a week and slept beside me all night and was purring a lot. Glad you still working out and keeping fit and healthy.
Tez ~ so sorry you are still not getting any sleep and think it has to be coming up to at least 2 years plus since you managed a whole week with a decent nights sleep. I hope you can get a good night’s sleep and that the knee pain reduces for you.
Brams ~ the weather has been more like autumn then spring in the UK and all to do with the jet stream being too far north for this time of the year so can say our summer is over and the nights draw in from next week Friday after the longest day on the 21st June. Does not feel like mid summer at the moment!
Lottie ~ hope you and R can go to Portugal and do good to get some warmth on Reggie as you wont get it in the UK with the summer we are having so far! I hope you are nice to the Greenkeepers as many members at the golf club I worked at looked down on the Greens Staff.
Snowy ~ seems to be warmer in Canada right now then the UK and Kelowna sounds lovely Town to visit.
Superrat ~ your time at Kelowna sounds like paradise and who knows may one day be able to afford a holiday abroad.
Hello to everyone else, hope you are all enjoying the weekend!

What a lovely house, Nick. I think Droitwich would definitely be a nicer place to live than Birmingham. Are any of your family and friends in the area? Best of luck getting your book finished and getting a more satisfying job. This has been a year of big changes for you already!
W - plans are taking shape for your night out before surgery. I'm going to get the barbecue invites out today as well. Hopefully you'll get to meet the whole gang! I'm so glad you'll be in town for the big party; I hope you won't be feeling too rough after the surgery and will be able to enjoy it. M, we need to do some plotting too! Hopefully the three of us can get together on the day W arrives.
Robin - love the latest picture of you and Jake! That's one happy cyclist. I'm really glad your knee is holding up to riding so well; it must make it all feel worthwhile.
Brams - that was what happened with the moose. We eyed each other for a bit, then I reached for my camera and he shot away into the bushes - but turned around just for a second so I was able to snap a picture. It's the first time I've seen a moose in the wild, so I was very excited.
A - really nice to see you back on the thread. I'd been wondering how you were doing. I'm sorry to hear that the knee is losing ground, though. Does your OS have any kind of plan for what comes next? I think you're wise to take the knee into consideration when you're thinking about having kids; pregnancy can do some strange things to joints at the best of times.
Tinycat is asking for his breakfast, so I'd better go sort out the feline masses - good thoughts to everyone else, and fingers crossed for happy knees (and feet) all round this weekend.

Hi Gang!
I hope everyone is having a lovely Saturday! It was another epic day(weather wise) here again today! This reminds me of the summers of '88 and '90.
Nick, I had a look at that bungalow! It is lovely. I really like the kitchen. You only go this way once, so do what makes you happy. There aren't any do overs!!
A...Oh my! I don't know what to make out of all of that! I wonder if it is scar tissue from where the plica was excised? I had a bit of trouble with that after I had mine removed. My physio had to really work on me to get that broken down. It took quite a long time. I'm just throwing that out there as a possibility. Well, if it keeps up you might want to go further with your investigations. It seems to me that most of the exams that orthos do on you are done while you are lying down, and most of the pain issues are on weight bearing. There seems to be quite a disconnect on that point. That is like getting you to walk across a short room, and then it being determined that you have a normal gait. Ah...get someone out in the hall, and have them walk back and forth.
Rk4..I hope today is a better day!
Tez...Did you get your beauty sleep, and have your super productive day?? I sure hope so!
Lottie...Love the flowers. You have a very thoughtful husband! I hope there is no need for the sock today.
Snowy, Snowy, Snowy...I hope you get dry and warm by the time you read this. Gosh, I hope the weather improves before I get there, but I haven't had much luck in terms of weather in Vancouver!!
Brams...How are you?? I hope your knees are settling out. Are you still rowing?? I haven't noticed any mention of it lately. I hope the tutoring is going well.
Robin...What adventures are you up to this weekend?? I hope you are out doing something outdoorsy and fun!
I broke the news to the folks tonight! I told Dad first(I always tell Dad first). They are out of town, so I know they cannot corner me with 20, no, in their case....40 questions....ugh! Then they wonder why I don't give them much notice on this stuff. They start thinking of all these questions to ask. It is like the freaking Spanish inquisition!!
So, Mom knows that her sister is going with me. Then she started asking me about how my aunt paid for it. OMG...ask her..not me! Then she wants to know how this all came about. I called my aunt..simple! See? It is the inquisition!! I really need to move further away, or they need to find something besides me to occupy their thoughts. I know it is well meaning, but I am sure their parents weren't into their business like this when they were my age. I know for a fact that my grandparents didn't do that! Never, never, never live down the street from the retired parents....bad move..lol!

Hi gangette!
Well chaps, I am up early on Father's Day having just see off my eldest to go on a day trip out with her boyfriend's family to a theme park..... I got up at 7.15! On a Sunday! Believe me, that is NOT normal for me, lol.
The sun has been shining beautifully in my kitchen, it's lovely and quiet now, I've got a cup of Earl Grey Tea on the table... Ah, happy days
(Shame those pesky clouds are trying to build up!).
W - ah, lol, you do make me laugh. Parents.....how can you try to reason with the madness of family?! I think parents just become like that naturally, without prior notice. Mine are similar, well meaning but madenning bless them, suspicious of anything new that I do or we do, as if I might have secretly won the lottery behind their backs and be selfishly enjoying it without them - on purpose.... In my dreams!
Fat chance. I'm not rowing, no. I went three times, all going great guns, then we missed one due to appalling weather, and the knee started playing up with perfect timing each weekend.... Added to that it was often so cold and damp, neither of which the crips likes, and I was afraid of spending two hours solid in a boat, and imagined me having some meltdown halfway through and spoiling things for the others and having to be taken back and lugged out, etc.... The mind is a powerful persuader. I feel such a wimp, but also I know it was out of my control... They've been very kind and said I can go to a different session every now and then, but it's not the same. I know I couldn't give the kind of commitment a team member needs to give, and it's all about being in a team. Can't be a fair weather rower...
The tutoring is still going thanks, no more new pupils yet although I had an enquiry last week about a child with dyslexia that I might pursue (no experience with it, sadly, but 1-1 still valuable). It's a quiet time of year so I'm not too worried.
A - sorry the knees are so troublesome. Always disappointing when things don't go the way you hope
. W is so right about the exam methods, it always drives me spare. Maybe we should all start saying it to the surgeons?! The pregnancy thing is tricky. Your ligaments relax during pregnancy, that might make bone surfaces a bit more vulnerable, but a lot of people as Tez says find pregnancy eases quite a few issues. Worth asking your physio perhaps, they tend to be more helpful and live in the real world! I had mine before the knees luckily. Hope things ease a bit soon and you can get some decent answers and a way forward. Hang in there...x
Nick - nice bungalow there! Hope everything works out with the move and your new support group.
Tez - how are things with you girl? How did the day go? Hope the knee is kind and good to you for a change...x
Rk4 - hope you got some sleep for a change and those pain meds give you some relief. Not long to go, stay tough x.
Snowy - love the Moose story! We in the uk can only dream of such things...lol. I did see a deer just standing in the hedgerow on the way back from my parents' a few weeks ago. It was dark, and as we sped by I saw her just stood there like some ancient memory. Spooky but thrilling.
Lottie - hi flower buddy! Love that our hubbies got flowers on the same day! The cosmic connection continues...
......be afraid....be very afraid....lol. Hope Reggie is good this morning and you can get that body even more in tune at the gym - what will you do when, very soon, I expect to hear that perfect scores have been reached, lol?! Take up fishing?! Eek!
Robin, Rat, everyone else, take care out there and hope the sun shines in your particular worlds...
Hugs to all,
Brams
