Hi All,
Spent a mad 4 days at my sisters house near Woodbridge in Suffolk and always do stupid things with my niece when ever we meet up and get on well with her and her boyfriend as we make each other laugh and they both 18 and I am 33 and still act like a teenager at times. We always got told off every night for laughing out too loud by my sister and made us laugh even more, we are like a naughty pair of teenagers.
I like to act silly at times as it makes me feel better with in myself and made me forget about my work situation. I just seen my GP and will have another 4 weeks off work sick and will hand in my letter of resignation letter into work tomorrow morning. I am feeling good about the future and know I am doing the right thing. No turning back now as Greenkeeping is history now and now will start a new chapter in my life.
Will catch up with everyone another day feeling tired from driving over 180 miles and had to go 80 to 90mph to get to my GP appointment on time, I got there with 10 minutes to spare. I did see a policeman with a speed gun on a bridge and was going just under 80mph so think I might be let off!

Oops.
Tez...How did I miss your post yesterday? Sorry hon! I wanted to say I'm glad that you finally got through to someone regarding the operation. LOL. I'm glad you finally found out that Mr. B's secretary had retired!
Hopefully you've put a little fire under their tails.
W...No report yet, huh? Perhaps today?!
Snowy...Um, yes. I am in love with Sage as well. I can't even tell you how good it makes me feel to look at all those pics of Freya and Smokey loving those little ones. Thanks for the internet pet therapy.
Lottie and Brams...Hope you gals are having a better day! xx
Nick...Sounds like you had a great weekend.
Rk...I hope your lack of posting means that you finally got a good night of sleep? Kiss Tika for me. Tika, Tika, Tika. Maybe I shall get a Pomeranian pup and name it Tika! Or a box turtle. Or a finger monkey.
Good luck W. with your report! I hope you hear something today.

Robin,
The MRI is not even read yet! They are usually read and dictated within a couple of days, but it usually takes 7-10 days for the typed report! Mine is showing in the system as "taken". This is very odd, but it is par for the course with my luck!
I made a call this morning to a "friend", who is going to gently nudge the rad that is assigned to read it to get it done! I am thinking that this was an oversight! The worst part is that the disc is in Vancouver, but there is no report to go along with it! UGH!

Was trying to read your threads but got lost in 128 pages. Looking for a good doctor in Houston. How are you doing post op, and who was your Doctor?

You actually read a 128 pages?? Oh my! I am in Canada, and had my last surgery done in Vancouver. I did go see Dr. Mark Sanders for a second opinion last year! He was right on in his assessment. He has his office at the River Oaks Medical Centre(old Twelve Oaks Hospital) near the Galleria!

Good luck! BTW...What exactly is wrong with your knee??

Well,
I haven't responded to anyone's posts this past few days. I will blame it on my impatience waiting for the MRI results. I will get that out of the way quickly. No, I don't have the results, but I found out what happened. I knew there was something off for it to take this long, and who was reading it for me.
My work order got put in a "special" file, separate from the rest. He(my rad friend) had done that to make mine a priority! There was only one problem...it was out of sight, out of mind. He forgot about it! It was mentioned to him today, and sources tell me that he let out an audible gasp!! Apologies were passed forward with a promise to have it done tomorrow morning. I can't be mad at that. It was a good intention gone bad..lol! I will know tomorrow...at least I know that for sure now!
Tez..I was really hoping that you were going to get a date. Does this mean that Dr. B will be doing your revision after all? Well, hopefully with the new OR suites, there will be more OR time(obviously that means hiring more OR staff).
Lottie..that picture is beautiful! I cannot get over how similar some of the places you go are to here. That picture could be on our east coast. I guess that is why I haven't seen any of those parts of England. I tend to want to see the green rolling hills, thatches, and old churches and stately homes! That we don't have here! I hope the weather cooperates, and Reggie calms down!
Brams..I read your new post! Oh my, what a pickle you are in! Is there a predictable time that CRPS symptoms settle down with treatment? Is there a chance that it will go into remission? It must be horrible knowing what you need, but unable to have the work done because of that darned old stuff!
Well, RK4..you have your date, and your countdown has begun! I know that there is some comfort in knowing! At least you will have your pre op get the house ready routine to keep you busy for the next month! The time will go slow at first, and then it will go by at warp speed..you know the drill!
Nick..I am so glad that you had a good weekend with your family! It is always good for the head to have a few giggles!
Robin...stop playing your games....get studying..lol!!
I wish "A" would come back..then again, I really miss smiley as well!
Snowy...I am so happy that Sage is "home" with his adoptive Smokey and Freya! I think he adopted you guys...not the other way around! I don't think you and J had much choice in the matter. That little guy really knows how to pull the heartstrings!
Well, I have been going to bed earlier and earlier, and getting up earlier as well. I think my body is trying to get back to my "normal" schedule again....great! I will be up at 0600h, and have a REALLY long day!!
Oh..I have been doing way too much driving around...just because! You would swear that gas is cheap..NOT!

Finished painting my patio furniture so it will look nice while I am stuck with my leg up. Only prob, I have new looking furniture a new BBq now my old big flower pots look so old and faded I guess I wll be painting them tomorrow so they look good as well. I hate that you fix one thing and then land up taking care of lots of other stuff. Well the twins are screaming at me to get some ice. Teach me not to over due(NOT)...

Totally off knee topic here...but my cat is weird!
Every time I play any kind of video on my laptop, my cat comes running, jumps up on me, and starts kneeding! I turn the video off and he gets down! What is up with that! The television has no effect(except that he watches it, and tries to get the birds..lol).
Oh my brain is playing the final jeopardy music...waiting for the final answer..lol!!

My answer is.....
The only time his last owner spent time with him was while they were on the lap top and he enjoys a cuddle at that time.. Plus it probably makes weird noises that kind of upset him and he wants you to turn it off...
Best I got...
Have a good one W.

I am one ROYALLY pi**ed off chick tonight! The MRI did NOT get read again today! If I had not requested that a specific rad read this thing, it would have been read, dictated, typed, and faxed to Vancouver by now! This is not cool!

W I don't blame you for feeling so pissed off its crazy the way everything seems to get messed up for you, you just never seem to get a break, I take it its now going to be Monday before it gets read?
As for the cat it does sound as if you have a mad one there lol, I'm sure he's good company though.
It does indeed look as if its going to be Mr B that will do my surgery, so I guess the 2 stage thing stands, I just wish I had a date even if they told me it wouldnt happen until Aug at least then I could book a wee flight out to Spain and have a holiday while I'm waiting, I really hope I hear something soon.
RK4 sorry your still in mega pain but it must be a relief knowing you have a surgery date, and the preparations for it should help the time pass quickly, did your OS say what kind of recovery you should have, will you need to use crutches etc for a while afterwards? at least some of the family should be about to give you a hand as its school holidays.
Lottie if you check in while your on holiday I hope you have a wonderful time the holiday home looks amazing and if the weather keeps up you should really enjoy yourself, we just need reggie to behave and you have it made...
Nick sounds like you had a good visit with your sister. Did you hand in your notice as you planned the other day? and if you did how did your boss react, I hope you let him know that his bully boy tactics were a big part of your decision to leave, good luck with whatever your next step will be.
Robin I think its great that your getting back into the books and studying, I dont think I could, I dont retain information the way I did when I was younger, and really just couldnt be bothered
so good luck with it all.
also hope that my call about my long awaited surgery gets things moving, nut its the NHS so anything is possible, there is some kind of directive that says everyone should be offered their op within 12 weeks of being told they need it, well I am well over that now, so fingers crossed it happens soon.
Brams how are things with you? I really hope your feeling a bit better this week and you get a chance to row on Sunday, I would imagine it would be heaven being out on the water in this fantastic weather, I just pray you get the chance to enjoy it.
I have had a busy week in the salon resulting in an extremely swollen leg and foot by the end of the day, which is freaking me out a bit, I would hate to have this become the norm, my Mother in Law has swollen feet all the time and I always think of it as an old woman thing, which is making me feel like an old woman and I hate it, also I have been having repeat blood test because my blood sugar was a bit high, so now I need to have a glucose tolerance test, which again is freaking me out and making me feel old, I never had any health problems before I lost a lot of weight, and I would have thought the fact I am eating much healthier and am a good 3 stone lighter than I was should be helping my overall health, oh well we shall have to see what happens, and I guess considering both my parents had type 2 diabetes it could be a hereditary thing.
Apart from that all is well in my corner of the world the weather has been fantastic I have had the roof down in the car every day this week and its amazing especially after working all day in a stuffy salon to get in the car and get some proper fresh air on the way home from work, long may this good weather continue.
I hope everyone is doing ok tonight or should I say this morning..
Take care folks Terri xx

Tez...You need to have a HG A1C blood test done, if you haven't! This is the test they use for diabetes, along with the glucose tolerance test! Have fun drinking the thick sweet syrup...yuck! Have you been limiting your carb intake along with your simple sugar intake? People don't realize how much of what we eat is converted to sugar! Milk even has natural sugar in it! I think that if I were you, I would schedule a visit with a dietician! You may need to modify the amount of certain food groups. You have done really well with the weight loss, but you need to nip this in the bud! At this stage, it can be reversed!!
Now, on the swollen leg thing. Are you wearing compression stockings at work?? If not, maybe you should. It is good for your leg health, bad knee or not!
Happy Saturday!

Quick check in from the depths of Pembrokeshire!! Wonderful location, unhappy foot - must be the heatwave as Brams is also suffering I believe.....treating the moaning limb with wine, and today a FAST super exciting trip around Ramsey Sound off the coast of St David's. Jet boat, simply so fast and rapid and you get utterly soaked as he plays with it so much then you get to see wonderful bits of the island....birds galore....then seals....then we went deeper and saw porpoises striking through the water. W. it made me think of you....we are SO far west we are close to you....and this coastline strikes me as so so similar.....couldn't take pics as its just too rapid and you are all in life jackets and taught to hold on as you're perched on the edge! I wet my pants without even trying!! Apart from that, too much food, too much wine.....some wonderful sleep when the tramadol kicked in with a lighthouse beam strobing across the headland, into the bedroom, and then over the fields....quite weird but a new experience and eventually quite hypnotising!
I want to live here. I would pack up my bags, my cats and my life and come here tomorrow if I knew how we'd make a living. Its my haven. I have always adored this part of the UK. One day. one day.
Hope everyone is doing good.....W, I hope you get these danged results soon. Tez, boo on the pain and swelling. The heat may not be helping you either with the swollen foot and knee. W is bang on regarding the sugar/carb issue....although my good plan has gone out of the window plus no exercise yet! Was thinking of a slow jog along the coastal path but its too danged hot! Will reply to everyone soon!
Hugs all xxxxxx
PS Brams I hope you get to rowing. I have zero mobile signal where we are...facebook me and let me know how you're doing xxx
