Just wanted to see if I had any replies on here, perhaps suggestions what could be up with my knee or if anyone has anything similar? I've tried talking with my GP and even went for a course of physio. However, physio was different each week and each physio disagreed with the previous physios diagnosis and activities...so I gave up! That was a few years ago and my knee is now worse.
My right knee is swollen below the knee cap, feels as though it's packed with either fluid or fat. My left knee is fine. It makes a terrible crunching/grinding noise on bending and straightening especially when I walk upstairs. It also aches after walking across the front of kneecap and to the inside, as does my lower back (connected?). I am not overweight and consider myself active. I'm a primary school teacher so perhaps I have an overuse injury through constant kneeling/squatting? I squatted down in class last week and got a sharp pain running across the joint to the front of my knee. This went after about an hour. It sometimes hurts on the inside of knee too - facing the other knee. I'm only 35 and this is starting to affect how I manage in my job each day. Any help appreciated. I'm wondering whether to demand an MRI scan. The doc last time didnt think crunching was a concern without pain but it's now painful. Thanks!
