Muscle twitching after surgery
« on: June 22, 2010, 09:35:43 PM »
Hello. Im about 6 weeks out of double reconstruction surgery (LCL and PCL), and I get muscle twitching in my feet. Can anybody give me insight as to if this is normal, and if so, how are the feet muscles related to the knee surgery? Appreciate any feedback.

I had an MPFL reconstruction about 7 weeks ago and I have muscle spasms (though the only ones I get regularly now started after my daughter was born about a year and a half before the accident/surgery) but I also get the foot twitches REALLY bad. I hadn't really thought of them much until just now except that they're really annoying. It happens to me a lot when I'm about to fall asleep. I wonder if it's from having your leg straight so much?? When do you get them? I only get them when my leg is elevated/straight- I've never noticed them with my leg bent and down?
