Very sure that your pain and healing changes and worsens as you have more and more surgery, and I also think everyone is different.
I have had loads of Operations, and on the whole am very lucky with pain. Apart from the 2 weeks after coming home, I tend to escape easily.
I see posts from some people who talk about bad pain months after surgery, so presume we are all so different. You should talk to your Doc about upping the pain meds to help you here.
Pain in other joints such as hip and ankle in my opinion is a big issue. I developed some awful hip and back pain pre op, as my gait and walking was awful, and I stressed other parts of my body as my knee was bust.
In my humble opinion this is something that should be considered in relation to waiting lists and get people in asap.
1st thing my physio said to me post op, was a remark on how I walk all wrong and favour the opposite side to my Op and twist my hip and back. Too right! And that's happened with 40 weeks waiting for an Operation and trying to live my life and get around!
I hate to say it but think age has a big effect on recovery time as well.
Not sure what to suggest apart from get your pain meds sorted and keep at your PT. It seems a long time post OP for sharp pains in your knee - worth picking up with your OS?
