I actually forgot to put on the compression sleeve today!  Duh!  But my day was good overall.  I did a ton of walking because I had to off-site meetings.  Then I felt so good after work that I walked to Trader Joe's (grocery store) from my internship instead of taking the bus.  It was only 6ish blocks, and it was downhill-nice!  My leg is still a bit more swollen, but it feels alright.

I have every Monday off from my internship so we can do programming through my internship program.  This week we visited the Millennium Challenge Corporation and heard a speaker, and also heard from a different speaker at the HQ of my program.  It was nice to have the day off, but on top of 2 programs each Monday I also have a 3 hour class.  Busy but interesting!!  And it's nice to only work 4 days a week.  :)

I just noticed a bruise on my poor knee from my fall yesterday!   :(  It looks rather pathetic...and let's be real.  I will fall again.  It's inevitable!  But hopefully not anytime soon.  And not in front of everyone and their brother in downtown DC.   ;)

That sounds like an awesome schedule, packed and busy, but good.
:o You forgot the compression sleeve, but its good that it was okay.
Yeah, you will fall again, but hopefully it wont be in such a public location, or anytime in the near future either.

Ugh, my knee has been killing me today!  It has hurt nearly all day, and I have no clue why.  Well, perhaps I do.  I got my leg weights in the mail, so I've been doing my exercises with weights for the first time in a few weeks.  That could be why. But dang I am sitting here with ice on it and now it's finally starting to feel better!  I have a tour of the capitol tomorrow, so I hope it feels better by then!

Ugh, sounds like your knee has been giving you a little bit of a challange this week. Hopefully it is hurting because of the weights, and will back of once your knee becomes adjusted to them. Wooo! The tour of the capitol sounds really cool! Hope today is better!

Yeah, it has been an icky week.  I blame it all on falling on Tuesday.  But the bruise from that on my knee is now turning yellowish, so that's almost gone!!

The Capitol tour was neat.  They don't really show you a whole lot of the Capitol, but it was still neat to visit.  However, they made us walk there from our apartment complex, which is probably 5-6 blocks away.  Then there were lots of stairs on the tour.  I could've taken an elevator, but I just sucked it up and did the stairs.  My knee was a bit achy, but it felt sooooo much better this morning than it did last night!!  However, I hurt my foot on my left leg today (I don't know how) and I can barely walk right now.  I have to walk with a noticeable limp to avoid SEVERE pain in my foot (as in I nearly fall down it hurts so bad) so I am resting it and icing it.  I don't think I've done any real damage, as I've the same pain before.  I have high arches, and I think my shoe irritated the top of my foot yesterday.  Then all the walking today just made it really hurt, like deep muscle pain.  I hope tomorrow it will be ok again.

Dang! Sounds like you havent had a break this week. Do you have to go anywhere today?

Bummer about not seeing much of the Capitol, but glad your knee felt better than the night before! And ouch about your foot  :-\ seems to have been a tough week, but today is Sunday, so :)

This week seems to be going better, although my foot is NOT better.  Grr!   >:(  It's still super painful after I walk much at all, and today it's really swollen and red on top.  I'm seriously considering visiting the DR because I really can't survive in DC with foot pain like this.  And ya'll know I waited 10 years to deal with my knee...so the fact that I want to go to the DR now shows how I'm feeling.

Off to ice my foot.  The knee is doing spectacularly, considering I have to walk so that no weight is put on my big toe.

Glad to hear that your knee is doing okay :) can't say the same about your foot though... Do you have any clue what you might have done to it? Yeah, 10 years vs less than a week, your foot must be hurting pretty bad right now :( Thats a huge downer, does the ice haelp at all though? Is it getting better or worse? Hopefully somehow it will get better soon!

Tomorrow is a new day :)

Ice helps a bit, but as soon as I walk down the hall or more than just around the apartment, it starts to hurt.  Then it gets progressively worse.  And now when I'm resting it's kind of a burning pain?  I don't know...and looking around on the internet isn't helping me much. :)  Darn internet diagnosis!  Never works for me...probably because I just want it to be nothing. ;)  But I talked to my Mom about finding a provider here to check me out, and I can pick whatever doc I want and it'll be added to our plan, since they don't have set doctors out here.  Regional insurance and whatnot.  But that's nice because I can find whoever I want!  So I found one near my internship and if it doesn't feel better tomorrow I'll call.  Sigh....I thought I was done with doctors for awhile. :)

Haha, dang internet, too much out there at times.

that does sound nice about the insurance bit though, but hopefully you wont have to call them... It would be nice to be done with dr's for a while!

As much as I want to not go to the DR....I am having to limp to avoid foot pain, which is not good for the knee (although it doesn't hurt!).  So we'll see...Hopefully a miracle will happen by tomorrow and I'll feel 100% again!

No, not a bit.  I am calling the doctor tomorrow because I think it's more swollen today, if at all possible.  And it's swollen enough that the swelling is causing pain...grr....

I went to the doctor today to check on my foot, and she said she didn't think it was related to my knee, or a blood clot, which is good.  However, she thinks it might be a fracture.  So I went and got x-rays, and she'll call me back tomorrow with the results.  Ugh....I don't like the thought of possibly having to wear a boot.  I doubt my knee would be too happy with that...

My knee is doing great, considering how odd I have to walk due to my foot.  It seems a bit more swollen, but that could just be my imagination.  It's feeling good though!
