OPD assessment
« on: December 15, 2009, 07:41:30 PM »
Due yet another assessment on Monday 21st December - hospital rang today and offered appt for Monday!  Thought I'd have to wait ages and wouldn't be seen until nerw year. Best Christmas prezzie I could have would be the promise of (another) knee sorting out - trouble is my hips need it too - at least this time the OS specialises in both and he knows about other joint problems.

Well Hospital doc couldn't find latest letter from GP but didn't mind as problems already well documented.  Asked me which joint I wanted sorting out if he could only do one - now awaiting diagnostic/therapeutic injection into hip and will be reviewed in six weeks to further discuss surgery.  Really need both hips and both knees replacing....but apparently latest practice is hips get replaced before knees......
