Knee Injury - Stitches, Swelling, Recovery
« on: October 28, 2009, 04:37:44 am »

What a great bulletin board!

a week ago i had a slightly nasty incident with my knee playing football on a court, where i managed to run into a bolt holding the court together. To cut a long story short i have 7 internal stitches, 11 external stitches, no ligament damage, patela damage (apart from the obvious bruising) and i wondered if anyone could shed any light on how long it will be before i can bend my knee. Struggling to get any movement other than minor (10-20 degree bend), but not actively pushing this as my knee is still swolen sore and bruised.

to make matters worse my wife is 8 months pregnant and wanted to know roughly how long before i should be in a position to at least drive an automatic car.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
