weird pain in hamstring insertion under knee
« on: July 16, 2009, 09:57:15 PM »
Hi i had surgery 13 months ago, and am having many problems without resolution, however one pain i can localise is pain in the pes anserinus and high shin area near the acl fixation. Could this pain be caused by scar tissue pulling on the nerves in my leg, the question is which nerves cause what pains in the knee, i also have terrible pain on the posterolateral aspect of my knee when going from flexion to extension. I have had an acl hamstring autograft with allograft lateral collateral ligament reconstruction and posterolateral reconstruction. I know that the posterolateral pain would most likely be caused by damage to the peroneal nerve, however are these easily repaired or is there a massive risk if you are doing a scar tissue release from a nerve or repairing them. Would the semitendinosus hamstring pain be caused by impingement of the tibial nerve.

many thanks danny
