Helllo Desag,
Thank You for comments. Dr. Fu's PA told me that their requirement is around 90 degree flexion for surgery. I'm definitely past 90 but just not comparable to the uninjured knee. She said not to worry about it that their could be blockage due to the acl tear so I might not be able to achieve full flexion. She said I can get it back after surgery and that I wont be stuck with it if I don't achieve it now which was my primary concern.
That's a very interesting configuration you have for the fixation choices the doctor choose. Since your was a revisional surgery I'm sure Dr. Fu adapted and made a custom fit and configuration for you.
I read the Achilles tendon are stronger than the other tendons among the cadaver choices. I wonder if they are using tibialis anterior tendons due to shortage of achilles tendon donors or because of different surgery approaches?? I wonder what other patients got for allografts?
And please I would definitely like to see the pictures. Please email them to
