MF and cold weather
« on: December 29, 2008, 08:14:58 PM »
Here I am like a year after MF. Today when I went out in -10C my knee went nuts and now I have constant pain in MF area. I can pinpoint exactly where the pain is. Pain is in the skeleton, like this awful bonepain that you can experience after MF surgery. Anyone had the same ? Any ideas what to do ? Is stay inside the only solution ? I know that I might need a partiell knee..but this is so typical pain in just that spot.
Surgery 6 times left knee torn meniscus, RSDS,chondromalacia, nervdamage cause constant nervpain, chronic inflamm.
Spinaldamage wheeler 100%.
Right knee damaged aug-06, use brace surgery 4/9-07.LCL tear.

Hi Nettan,

I had a mfx surgery done back in 03, and another one about 3 months ago (different areas).  And yes, there are times (not always) that when we have a sudden weather change (barometric pressure) I'll be a bit of a hurting puppy.  It's usually a moist heat that helps ease the achiness....as well as a couple of ibuprofens or tylenols.  Also noticed that it helps if I drink lots of water.... I really don't know what that's about, but I'm a better predictor of pressure changes than the weatherman!

Hope it's not affecting you too much - what part of your knee did you have your mfx done?
