Hello Everyone,

Sorry its been a while, I have been in hiding for th last 3 months will explain more in a min.

I had my 1 year check up after my mpfl Recon on Sept 1st and it went brillinatly the surgeon was so excited about my progress he was bouncing around the room and rushed out to get his physio to see me too as he couldn't believe his eyes. Lol I have never seen a surgeon bounce especially when I showed him I coul hol my leg up above my head in a front kick position and do a roundhouse kick to head height!

However he couldn't check me out fully as I couldn't have an xray as there was a chanc eI could be pregnant. Well it turned out I was pregnant  Smiley hence why I have been undercover for 3 months as had wanted to keep it quiet untilk then an knew if I spoke to any of you I would blurt it out. We had the dating scan today and it showed I will be 13 weeks tommorrow and Due May 13th. Smiley Smiley

Knees are playing up a little with swellling, not sure how they will cope with weight gain, I was wondering if anyone else had been pregnant and how their knees coped with it?

I'm going to have a look at some of your posts now to se how your doing.

Trace,

Congrats on everything!  I found my knees did not bother too much when I was pregnant.  More so after delivery.  Not quite sure why.

Congratulations! I have very loose ligaments and found that pregnancy just made them looser (relaxin hormone). I guess you should just be aware that all the ligaments soften and act accordingly so you don't overdo it. Various hormones stay in your body until after you stop breastfeeding and I found things took a while to settle down..... BUT it is SO worth it!

Hi Trace,

Congratulations on doing so well and on your pregnancy. You must be so thrilled.

Do you have to go back and see your OS again ?

I am so happy that you've had such a good result considering you had to fight to see your OS in the first place.

Hi Trace,

You wont know me but do try to post in members diaries as its nice to support one another, fantastic news and also great that your knee has improved after your 1 year check up.

My Mum had 8 children and she has some arthritus in her knees but she 71 and doing ok for her age and does not need a TKR just yet as her mobility is good for someone of her age.
