Hi,
   I am looking for advice post microfracture surgery. I am post op only 4 months and luckily my OS did the ACI harvest during my microfracture "just in case" the microfracture didn't work. My cells are already ready to go if needed; they've been growing for 4 months. I feel the MFX surgery didn't work. I am now limping which I wasn't doing before the surgery and the pain is worse. I knee also gives out on me often. I have an appointment with my OS in a few days. My questions are: Since it has only been 4 months since my surgery, is it too soon to ask my OS to go ahead and schedule the ACI? Will my knee get any better even though it has already been 4 months and it seems to be worse? Or would I be jumping the gun to ask so early after my MFX surgery? Thanks Madel23! Part of the reason I was wondering if I could get the ACI done sooner than later is because I'm retiring from the military in 1 1/2 years. So, if something goes wrong with the ACI, I want them to fix it before I get out and move away. Another reason is the fact that we are required to participate in Physical Training (mostly running) and I want to get all of this over with, before they try to Medically Board me out of the military before my 20 years is up. Well, I guess it looks like I won't be running before I retire; not good.
