Hi Jasmin

Yes, our experts report came back a week or so back. It wasn't fun to read with the first half rehashing five years of medical interventions. His conclusion was fine from the point of view of my case, i.e The pain has pretty much wrecked the last five years, I'm not currently fit to work, and depression plus pain makes returning to work somewhat of a vague hope, oh, and he isn't making it all up.

From my point of view, he has ruled out neuropathic pain, so its not Chronic Regional Pain syndrome (CRPS) but could be Nociceptive, which is interesting because in effect, if I understand things correctly nerves around the knee are sending pain signals of their own accord. This is the sort of thing that my appointment with Stanmore's Peripheral nerve injury unit can maybe shed light on, so hoping, a little that maybe there may be a way to improve things.

Last month or so has been pretty rough, lots of bowel related side-effects and many days in extra pain for no obvious reason. The case isn't moving very fast so also looks like I'll have to make a case for another interim payment, it really sucks, but trying not to let it affect me too much and will just deal with things one at a time. I'm also very aware, that as rough as things get, there are others with far worse problems so will try not to take myself too seriously.
