youre health is more important than your job - you can always get a job but you only have 2 knees and if one needs fixing then thats the most important thing. I do feel for you - youve been having a very hard time of things recently but at least you seem to be on the right road now.

Thats the trouble with life, when you're outside looking at a problem, it's often easy to give advice, but when you're in the middle it looks completely different.
It really is a kick in the teeth when a company wants to let you go on the grounds of ill health, I've been on the other side of that one, looking at the problems that long term sick leave gives the company, and it is difficult. I was a manager short for the longest time. I wasn't allowed to replace her, because we had to hold her job open because the expectation was that she would return, which made things difficult. You always remember that there is a human being on the other side of the equation. which makes ot all the more difficult to comw up with a good answer.
The good news is you have until Oct 30th, and a lot can happen before then. I can't remember what the rules are about returning part time, would that be an option for you if you can't manage full time?
You have a lot of people lined up to help you, so with your determination, and help from all the medical bods I'm sure that you will win through.
All the best ]

Thanks to all who have replied. Ive not been around much still struggling with this dx of CRPS, I just cant get my head round it, I went into surgery to get my knee fixed and Ive come out with this awful condition.
But anyway Im starting treatment tomorrow. Im going for a TENS fitting, then on tuesday I start another round of physio. Im not scared of the pain but its the lack of progress.

maybe itll be different type of physio this time as youve had a new diagnosis?
theres no need to be scared of physio - they only push as hard as you can go.

ooooh...when do you get the results of the bone scan? thats excellent - the more investigatory work they do the better.
how do you find the TENS unit?
Do post after your physio appointment and telll us how you are getting on.

i've been to physio, its a new physio and the ESP one and she feels that there is something blocking the movement still. also she is impressed with the movement shows hope.
got another appt with her next tues, but i have actually asked to see my last PT as she knows my knee, so see what happens with that

well thats good news!
its excellent if she thinks there is hope from the movement you have had.
it can be good to have a fresh perspective from a new PT but sometimes it can be more comfortable working with someone you are used to.
How is your pain these days?

it varies from day to day, its a niggling sharp pain most of the day, but it just really kicks in at the end of the day to where it is unbearable,
i cant understand why she thinks there is something blocking the movement but thinks there is still hope from that flexion ive gained..
oh and she says my knee cap is slanting over to the left, which is ironic as when i walk all my knee goes inwards
