finally gave my knee a true test after a little more than a year after surgery. happy to say that other than some swelling, my knee was fine after 4 days of snowboarding. didn't do anything crazy. stayed on groomed runs the whole time and the mountain was mostly powder. I went out at least 8 hOurs a day.
on the last day, I was gonna push it, but once I felt my other leg muscles were getting pretty fatigued, I decided to stop just in case my knee tried to compensate for that weakness in leg muscles.
knee is a little stiff today, but nothing like it was the last time I went out that caused me to need surgery.
anyway, I'm in Sapporo enjoying the city as I'm now away from the ski town and I'm happy to say that I've been able to walk around with no restrictions. I'm just being careful of all the snow on the sidewalks and streets.
