Hi all,

Anyone live locally to North London, or around North Herts, such as Stevenage, St. Albans, Royston etc?

Stockers and I are meeting up in a pub in the village of Old Knebworth called 'The Lytton Arms' on Wednesday 7th March at 8:00pm. Anywaone want to join us?   :)   :)   :)   :)   :)   :)   :)   :)   :)   :)   :)   :)   :)   :)   :)  Lets talk knees!

Feb '03 Ladies badminton, bad fall, detached ACL
May '06 - ACL reconstruction & meniscus repair
Complications - swelling, pain, lack of flexion/extension, 50% graft failure
Jan '07 Arthoscopy, debride, removal of adhesions & 50% of graft
Attempting to rebuild muscles so can continue sport & life

It would be lot of fun to line up all our "Bad Knees " and see wich one looks the Best!

Well I live in Islington but work in Stevenage and frequent the Lytton Arms on occassional lunchtimes.

7th is also day after my 5 month physio checkup, will see you there

2006 April 1 skiing - big air, big crash, rescued off mountain. Terrible triad as a result (acl rupture, bucket tear in miniscus, medial ligament tear).
Jan 07 - ACLr (hamstring). Surgeon "discovered" a tear in the posterior horn previous missed.

Arthroscopy Jan 06.
Hamstring ACLR Apr 06.

RIGHT KNEE: meniscal tear 2008. Partial meniscectomy 2008 and again 2009.

LOL!!!! :-D  Excellent - but we "kneed" more girls to attend this convention. COME ON ACLR girlies - CHARLIESMOUSE, maybe you can make it up from Cambridge? Where are you anyway, actually?

I could make a central London or City meeting as I work up there.  North London or further is too far I'm afraid, as I live in Staines.

There is hope, you just have to find it

Played Rounders 2nd August 2006
Went to Hospital after knee popped told go home simple muscle injury
Visited GP 3 weeks later "Meniscus I think"
Had MRI September 21
ACLr performed on 21st November 2006!
Up and about using 1 crutch next day..!

02/05 - ACL damage in a skiing collision.
01/06 - suspect lateral meniscus tear kneeling to change a DVD.
6/4/06 - Arthroscopy to remove meniscus bucket handle tear, ACL found to be ruptured. 
6/3/7 - Hamstring ACLR
