TKR/infection/AF
« on: December 13, 2006, 01:52:04 AM »
Saw my OS and he beleives after contacting Dr. Blaha (U of M) that fusion is my safest option.  I had a TKR in January 2003, had 2 staph infections, prosthetic removed, debrided, reconstructed bones (b/c the infection left abcesses), and then a MUA.  I am stuck again at 40 degrees.  Are we overlooking anything?  I have 3 children under age 3 and really need my mobility?  How high a risk is it to clean out my knee and use steroids/anti-inflmmatories and try again?  Sarah
