unknown hip dysplasia caused knee problems?
« on: September 15, 2006, 04:32:24 PM »
Hey, I haven't been on for a while and just recently got some news about my hip pain.  I've had knee problems all my life, but I never had bad hips until after my LR last December...well the pain didn't start until May or so, but it is worse than any knee pain I've had in a long while.....anyway I finally got the results...I have a type of Hip Dysplacia...my sister has full on dysplacia, but I was never told of mine...that is..My hip doctor think because my knees were the problems, they (the knee docs) only  looked at the knee and down.  I was was a dancer for a long time, and I think my body just figured how to move around the hip dysplacia, but after my LR, my knee problem was "fixed" and the hip dysplacia reared it's ugly head....anyway, I am sceduled for arthroscopic surgery in 2 weeks to clean up the broken cartlidge..and if he( the doc) can make my ilospsoas snap under anethesia, he will perform a release of this tendon...oh yeah..I'm sceduled to dance in the Nutcracker in December.....so..has anyone had or heard of this......does this make sense.....??
