Hello, all - I've just returned from a trip to Savannah with a group of about 75 fifth-graders. I posted an update to my diary at MBL.com, so feel free to check it out (the link is in my signature block below).

I wanted to share that I am completely brace-free, having decided to work on strengthening the quads and calves, which has helped with my confidence in walking. I am still using a crutch/cane to work on correct gait, but I am able to maneuver on all sorts of surfaces and at many different angles/slopes. I would have never thought it possible just over a month ago!!

Thanks for all your advice, folks - it has been really helpful to read your comments!!  ;D
