Very interesting reading about what everyone does.
I'm a librarian of the geeky modern variety, which is to say that I don't actually have anything to do with books in my job. I manage British Columbia's provincewide virtual reference service, which offers live online reference assistance to library patrons across the province. Thankfully it doesn't place any particular demands on my knee, and I was able to work from home for a couple of weeks following my knee injury. My biggest difficulty now (8 weeks post-injury) is that I spend a lot of time in meetings and at my desk, and I find that the knee still stiffens up and gets sore if I sit still for too long. My coworkers are getting used to the fact that periodically they're going to find me sitting on my office floor doing quad sets during my coffee breaks.

I'm a Data Manager but I prefer the title Data Goddess. I know what you mean about stiffening up while sitting in meetings. My coworkers have gotten used to me doing ankle pumps and leg extensions during meetings.

Im just about to go in to my 3rd year at uni studying English with education. I also have a stall at Portobello Road (famous antique market in London) where I sell vintage silver jewellery. I decided to have my op when I did because it would fit in with uni and my present job (I make up the rules)! So am pleased how it's all worked out

I currently work in a sports shop, which is a pain because it means im on my feet all day and quite often have to go up and down ladders.
Im not doing that for much longer though, as im about to start uni, doing sports development. As you might be able to tell Im quite sports orientated!!

I am a registered nurse in Kentucky. I was working in the ER before my knee got really bad. I had to switch to a desk job in 2008 due to the pain and surgery.
I currently review charts for Quality/Risk issues. Lots of sitting. Occasional walking on the units.

I'm a civil engineer. Fortunately knee isn't too bad but walking around in totector boots all day can make it pretty sore!

I'm full time college student and part time fast food crew. Sometimes my knee aches when I'm on duty and its really a hassle!
Thanks,
Rob

USAF pilot. I've been "grounded" since June because of the knee issues -- we're hoping that's temporary.

I am a stay at home mum in Western Australia to two boys - 2yrs and 7yrs. My husband manages a large iron ore port and travels a lot for work so I'm glad I can be there for my children (if I worked it would be challenging and they would have to spend lots of time in care)
Before I had my children I managed a very large day care centre (children 6wks to 5yrs open 0630 to 1830)
