I live in Minneapolis for now, but was born in Michigan (near East Lansing, home of MSU!). Hello Michiganders! Perhaps you didn't know but the state stone is the Petosky (its a fossil on a stone). Mackinaw Island was where some of the movie "Somewhere in Time" was filmed with Christopher Reeve.
I have lived other places, like Dresher PA, and Warsaw, Poland. I usually travel a great deal for work and to visit relatives, in the past 12 month I was twice to Australia, twice to New Zealand, went to Lithuania, Slovenia and also United Arab Emirates.
Now until I get my re-injury resolved I am rather sidelined unfortunately.
Its great to see people from all over on this board!

Hi
I live in Lakewood, California - a suburb about 20 miles south of downtown Los Angeles. A pretty quiet town, although we were a little shaken up last week by a 5.8 earthquake!

Hey, That's where they had the infamous Byron Pop Festival many years ago with Jimi Hendrix. My parents wouldn't let me go. Imagine that! Suzanne

This is a very interesting subject. I live in a very small town in southern Indiana. Right on the border of Kentucky. I would not live any where else either. Though it is a pain in the butt sometimes because everyone knows everyone elses business. It is a great place to be when going through difficult times (like when you break your leg). People in small towns having a way of pulling together for people in need.

Hi
I live in a small town about 40 minutes drive outside Dublin, Ireland. I am originally from nearly the centre of Dublin so I miss the location especially when I can't get a cheap taxi home after a night out in Dub! boo.
I grew up in a few places..moved from Ireland to Urbana-Champagne when I was 5, moved back home a year later, then moved to Wassenaar in Holland when I was 12 for a year, moved back to Ireland and went to school in Dublin, after school my family moved to a small town in Kildare (the county just next door)..it's very pretty especially when it's snowing like it is now! living at home again while I am recouperating and jobless...
Also lived in Vancouver, Canada for a while back in '05.
Was meant to move to Spain for the year as part of my college course back in Nov '08; I was due to fly out the week after my knee dislocated. Timing, huh?
I lost my job in Spain, but now I've made new plans and hope to go to NYC for a few months this Spring/Summer/as soon as my damned knee sorts itself out. I love travelling so much

Born and spent childhood in London, England (Balham and Tooting to be precise!) but now live in a village in Berkshire called Crowthorne. Looking at this site makes me realise how rubbish my knowledge of USA geography is! Half the time when people put the abbreviation for their state I can't work out what it stands for! And I never cease to be amazed at how far people in the US are prepared to travel to see a good OS! I've read threads where people are prepared to drive 8 hours to see their chosen OS...in England if we had to drive more than about 45 minutes to get anywhere we'd think twice about it and probably complain! And if we drove for 8 hours we'd fall into the sea!!

Oct 2008 Bilateral arthroscopy and partial meniscectomy in both knees (both lateral meniscii) Very bad slow recovery from this!
Jan 2009 MRI shows surgery caused damage to medial meniscus!!!!
