Need Surgery Buddy, I am scheduled for TKR on May 24th 06

Wondering in anyone out there is having surgery around the same time as me and would like
to go through it together.  Sounds like that is the way to go and is helpful.  Let me know.

Hi Sal,

I don't know of anyone  else having a TKR in May but I am having a revision in April.  Several of us that have had a TKR post under the section titled "TKR March 2005 - Let's keep in touch".  That thread started over a year ago when three of us were about to have a TKR around the same time.  Since then it has sort of evolved into a TKR support group. (You can see that it has been very popular by the number of posts.)  Anyone who is about to have a TKR or who has had one, is welcome to join in.  It can be really helpful to have someone to share this with.  A TKR takes quite a while to recover from and it is nice to talk to someone who understands exactly what you are struggling with.  Another benefit to posting under the "TKR March 2005 - Let's keep in touch" section is that you will get lots of responses.  So feel free to start posting there now if you would like. 

Is this your first TKR?  If yes, then you can get lots of helpful hints prior to surgery.  It can take a little while to get to know everyone.  Over time we have become friends so we end up sharing more than our TKR.

I have been reading that post for a bit now and I am on page 14.  It is very helpful and I hope to catch up soon. 
I would love to join in and have the support of your group.  I am feeling kind of alone out here so far.

Hi Sally,

It will be nice to have you join in!  By the way, I can't imagine anyone taking the time to read all of the post.     There are over 2000!  Just jump in.  Some of the people have gotten well and have moved on and no longer post.  If you want some history on people then you could read the most recent post.
