I've got 2 threads going.  Has anyone had any type of metabolic treatment or a change in diet as part of their treatment for arthrofibrosis.  The ketogenic diet is used with epilepsy patients to kill the seizure cycle and it has something to do with slowing down the metabolism and immune responses?

I wonder what causes arthrofibrosis and if there is a way to stop the soft tissue problem / scar tissue growth cycle (heat and swelling, etc) after a surgery?

Many people have mentioned accupuncture.  We know that therapy and sticking to a strict regimen also helps.  I'm just wondering why someone is "faster healer" than someone else and if there are ways to slow it down.

Help me start my search on this.

John

You could also consider this... what impact would fasting have on body healing?

This is why I want to understand the scientific mystery for why we all have gotten the arthrofibrosis.  I know the ketogenic diet orginiates and is prolifically supported for breaking the seizure cycle in epilepsy by John Hopkins.  Hmmm... maybe I can find someone there that knows if the concept applies to other conditions.

I.E. if I knew the way the diet worked was by changing the bodies immune responses... and that immune responses played a role in arthrofibrosis patients then you could postulate the idea that this might help break the cycle after a surgery.  All of this I don't know.  It was just a idea or vision that captured my mind.

John, sounds like a good idea. Everything is worth a try when it is such harmless like changing diet. For RA patients changing diet can help so why not ?
Hope you get hold on somebody who can help you.
