Hi slyguy,

I'm sorry, apparently I'm not enuff of a kneegeek to be able to reply to messages.  Can u recall what studies I posted?  I've posted a few things on here, mostly in response to people freaking out about arthritis and running.

FYI I do run, definitely (although this week i did something weird to my FOOT! arrgh).  I don't run long distances though.  My knees are fine with 15-20 miles per week so far.  I try as much as possible to run on grass or dirt, although most of my running is on roads.  I *never* run on concrete.  I do a lot of core work, and a lot of stuff like pushups and crunches, and I'm starting to do pullups but I can only really manage one pullup and one chinup so far.  I think the upper body stuff helps me a lot to run lighter on my feet.  Since hurting my foot I've been pool running and I think I'll incorporate it into my running schedule, it is a really good workout (boring, and hard, but i think it helps a lot with strength).  I've had about 7 prolotherapy sessions and 4 PRP.  Last one was in March 2010.  My knees feel pretty good.  Of course I'm probably still athritic, but I seem to be somewhat asymptomatic.  You should check out some runner boards, there are a few of us around....

Hope this helps.
