Could I be???
« on: October 13, 2005, 12:37:07 AM »
I have a rotational deformity of my rt knee following an injury several years ago and re injured it a few weeks ago.  Essentialy when I stand with both feet facing forward my rt knee faces my lft leg.  Strange hu!?!?  Anyway, after reading about hypermobilityhere I'm wondering if I may be and it could be contributing to some of my problems.  I've always just thought that I was quite flexible.  I can put my palms on the floor when touching my toes, bend my thumbs back to my wrists, bend my pikies back I used to even be able to put both legs behind my head, now only my lft because with the pain in the right I won't even try  it on that side.  I can even do a split and lay my upper body flat on the floor at the same time.  I guess I'm wondering if may be the laxity that allows me to do all those things allowed the knee to mi=ove into a position it doesn't belong in.

Anyway, it's just a though.  Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Lee

Hi
Did you suffer a fracture with the original injury? This sounds more bony than due to hypermobility.
