First Knee Shot.

I just had my first knee shot of cortisone.. It hurt, but all I have noticed is
the pain in my knee is a little less intense, but I still have the same pain.
I had scope in July with a LR on my RK and the pain has gotten worse not
any better and the OS said I have a little arthritis under my patella and on the
inside of my R leg.. He said he wants to wait at least 6-9 months to do another
surgery where he puts cartlidge pack into my knee. He says the down time
for that surgery is alot worse than the scope. Sorry this is such a long message..

Hi, well I'm right there with ya!  Almost exact dates too.  LR was on LK though.  Had a lot of other stuff on RK.  Both are causing me difficulties but right has been hurting for a while now and have had 2 shots.  I go back to Doc next Thursday for maybe my 3rd cortisone shot.  I feel enough relief of lateral pain to do exercises for about 2 weeks on first shot then 8 days on 2nd shot.  2nd Shot hurt so bad I screamed and had a bruise for over a week.  No relief for 3 days that time.  I have a lateral pain on RK that feeles like a rubberband catching.  Severe pain with weight bearing at about 30 degrees.  I am bone to bone on about a nickel sized area of patella.  I didn't think they would put cartilage back in on a knee with OA.  Let me know more about that.  Good Luck with yours and keep me posted.  Maybe we can figure this together.
