Hey all,
I am 4 months post op now. I went rock climbing today and at the end of the day, I noticed that I have a nice swollen knot right above where the femur and the tiba come together on the side of the knee where I had my microfracture performed. There is a small chance that I may have banged my knee on the rocks today b/c I do have a few small bruises below the swelling area, but I think I would have remembered if I banged my knee hard enough to get a knot this big. Plus, the area that is swollen has no signs of brusing and is not sore to the touch. It seem to be a sudden onset of swelling. My knee is not really any more sore than normal for what I would expect after climbing. I do not feel that I overdid it when I was climbing either. I have not had any swelling in this area of my knee aside from the normal swelling a few days post-op. My swelling usually occurs in the back of my knee. Has anyone else had this happen to them?
