LOL at salt and pepper! We had two rabbits called the same, and yes - one was all white, one was all black! Pepper was a bit viscous though and we had to find him a new home, so we got a guinea pig called Toffee. Then we always had to explain idea of Salt and Toffee!

Have 3 cats called Joshua, Zorro and Marmalade (see if you can guess what colour he is...). Zorro has a White face with a very defined black mask over his eyes and nose - just like in The Mask of Zorro! Josh is my oldest cat at 21 years, and is solid black half-Persian. He was not named after the Joshua Tree album by U2!

Used to have two cats when I was a child called Marmite and Bovril. 8)

Also had 4 goldfish called Crash, Dash, Flash and Chalky.

Had various dogs through childhood - a cocker spaniel called Towser, a yellow lab called Sam who was a bit mad, and a bulldog called Cedric - he was ace, a lovely dog. Now have a cocker spaniel called Bramble...

Also got two chickens named by the children - a ginger one called Sunset, and a black one called Scarlet. Lovely free range eggs!

 ;)

UPDATE: RIP Joshua aged 21 and Zorro aged 17  :'( (and Scarlet)

Here are some of my pets names through the years -

Dogs all from shelters -

Heather - German Shep mix
Sherman - Chow/Retriever mix
Charlie - Yellow lab mix

Cats (my parents)
Finka - as in josephine
Johnny Cash - black cat

i guess we like people names for our pets!

But when we got Charlie - I thought of naming him - Luke, Dakota, Stanley, Duke - but now Charlie fits.. sometimes we call him Charles Barkley :)
