Hello All

Well I just wanted to let you know that the paediatrician called on Friday afternoon - baby's MRI brain scan is normal!!  We still have to wait another 3 weeks for the results of all the genetic tests she's done...

Thank you all for your kind words and support.

Faith x

Hello All

Well I'm back!  Our laptop met with an accident and had to be replaced and it's been a long while waiting for a new one...

Just wanted to send you all a whole heap of love, hope you are all having a good knee day.

Unbelievably we are STILL waiting for baby's blood test results, but we have an excellent team of specialists seeing her now so that's a blessing.  She has her own PT who has just fitted her with immobiliser braces on both legs to stop them curling up all the time.  She has a play therapist who keeps bringing her exciting toys to play with.  Next week she'll be seeing her occupational therapist for the first time who's going to try and get her hands working.

But for my own sanity a diagnosis of what's causing this would be lovely....

Still, can't have everything eh?   ;)

Right, I'm off to read what you've all been up to while I've been away.

Love to you all, Faith xx

Hey Faith !!

Glad to hear from you, have missed you !! So you haven't got the results yet, hope they come soon. Good that they are working with your daughter and trying to help her, that's positive.
How are you feeling yourself ?
Anyway nice seeing you around again !!

Faith, As usual when it rains it pours. I wish you good outcomes for yourself and your daughter. I could never live through something happening to one of my children. People without them can't understand what we would go through to spare them. As far as the knee thing and buying private insurance at this point. Before I did that, I would carefully explore the clauses about pre-existing conditions. Most insurance policies will not cover a condition you already have for about 2 years. That is why many people who are starting a new job will no go to a dr for 6- 12 months so that the clause of pre existing conditions (things you have seen a physcian for or been treated for in the last 6 months) will Be covered.  If the cost of the policy is high and you have to pay for it for two years to get it to cover the condition, make a list of costs and comparisons and figure out if it is feasible or a waste of your money. Keep at these systems till you get the answers you want and deserve. Teresa
