MRI TRANSLATION HELP.....

I HAVE THIS MRI REPORT. AND THE GUY COULDN'T EXPLAIN IT TO ME PERFECTLY.  NOW WITH THIS MRI RESULTS HOW BAD IS MY KNEE AND IN THE FUTURE WHAT KIND PROBLEM COMES NEXT. IS IT NORMAL DAMAGE OR NO DAMAGE..

THERE IS A MILD LATERAL PATELLAR TILTING AND MINIMAL JOINT EFFUSION.

THERE IS A 1.3 X 1.2 CM INCREASED SIGNAL INVOLVING THE LATERAL ASPECT OF THE LATERAL TIBIAL CONDYLE ON THE STIR-CORONAL IMAGES CONSISTENT WITH A BONE BRUISES.

THERE IS NO EVIDENCE OF OSTEONECROSIS.

QUADRICEPS TENDONDS ARE UNREMARKABLE.

IMPRESSIONS:

1- MILD LATERAL PATELLAR TILTING,
2- MINIMAL JOINT EFFUSION,
3- SMALL BONE BRUISE MEASURING 1.3 X 1.2 CM SUGGESTED INVOLVING THE LATERAL ASPECT OF THE LATERAL TIBIAL CONDYLE.

well, my non medical opinion is that you have a patella that's leaning to one side, and have somehow bruised the bone, along with someminor joint swelling.

You need to follow up with your os about treatment and the future, as the options vary with different os's and different situations.
multiple arthroscopies 2/00,3/01,6/01,1/03, 12/07,10/10. chondromalacia, severe medial joint space narrowing following 3 partial menisectomies, chronic pain problems, kneecap problems, OCD lesion, failed mfx.
