Any Canadian Arthrofibrosis specialists?
« on: November 14, 2004, 04:13:33 AM »
I was wondering if any of you Canadians could get me a name of someone whom I could see in Canada? I am in Saskatchewan but I could try and get anywhere.
Thanks ;D

Canada has one of the very best knee specialists anywhere--Dr. Fowler.  But I had heard from another KNEEgeek that he had some leave of absence or something...?  I have no idea.  I think he's in Toronto, but don't quote me...I've just heard his name kicked around, sorry.  And my surgeon in Vail, CO knew of Dr. Fowler, I mentioned him in passing one time.

Try to look at the knee surgeons link in the upper right here--follow the links for Canada.  Also, you may want to contact Linds on this board, because she had considered seeing him as well.  Linds is in rural NS and has done a bit of research on doctors in her area.  I wish I could help more....

Were I in Canada, I'd start with Dr. Fowler's practice.  If that didn't work, I'd go to Whistler, BC and find out who puts the knees of the ski team back together.  Vancouver would also be a likely bet.  But as for arthrofibrosis specialists, I really can't help you...I'm sorry.

Can you travel from Saskatchewan to Ann Arbor, Michigan?  Dr. Wojtys is there and he's one of the best for scar tissue.  I know you'd like to stay in your own country...maybe you could contact Dr. W, Dr. Steadman's office in CO and ask if they have any fellows or doctors that have moved back to Canada?  Just an idea.
