Dr Nicolas Duval is an orthopaedic surgeon consulting in a new private orthopaedic clinic, part of Pavillon des Charmilles rehabilitation centre, in Laval (just north of Montreal) in Canada.

He graduated in orthopaedic surgery from Laval University, Quebec City, Quebec, Canada in 1989. He did an Adult Hip and Knee Reconstruction Fellowship at University of Western Ontario, in London, Ontario, Canada.

Dr Duval retains an interest in basic research and clinical trials. He has participated in many publications and lectured at many international meetings. His main areas of research are knee kinematics, new materials for hip arthroplasty, artificial ligaments and regeneration of cartilage.
