Tuberculosis

Tuberculosis is an infection caused by the tuberculosis bacterium. It is commonly called TB.

TB does not only affect the chest - it affects other organs as well, and the knee is a favourite bone for this destructive organism to grow in. In can these days be successfully treated - but in the knee it is important to cure the infection before the joint is destroyed.
