The posterolateral corner

The posterolateral corner is the region at the back of the knee on the outer side. It is very important as it contributes critical stability to the knee because of the important anatomical structures in this region. The anatomy of the posterolateral corner, though, is generally poorly appreciated by clinicians, and surgery in this area is a specialist matter.
