Mr George Tselentakis came to the UK after qualifying in Greece. He underwent basic surgical training in London SW Thames and after passing his FRCS in 1994 he undertook a year of research at Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital, Oswestry with Professor J.B Richardson. Mr Tselentakis received his higher orthopaedic training in Manchester; he completed his training by undertaking a knee fellowship in 2001 at the Royal Bolton Hospital and also visited a number of internationally renowned knee centres. After his knee fellowship he concentrated on his clinical and research interests in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the knee. His clinical practice involves all aspects of knee surgery. More specifically anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction, meniscal repairs and articular cartilage regeneration techniques such as microfracture and autologous chondrocyte (cartilage) implantation. As well as total and partial knee replacements using new computer assisted surgery technology.
