Pridie rods

Small carbon fibre rods produced in the '80s, and used in association with the Pridie procedure.

After drilling holes in damaged joint surface to allow deep bone marrow stem cells to reach the surface and repair the defect with fibrocartilage, the carbon fibre rods are put into the holes, both to keep them patent and gide the stem cells to the surface.
