Pes tendons
This is an abbreviation of 'pes anserine' tendons.
Pes anserine means ‘goose foot’, so they are also sometimes called the ‘goose foot’ tendons. This term has been given because the attachment of the tendons to the tibia on the medial aspect of the knee has a shape resembling a webbed goose foot. The three pes tendons include - semimembranosus, semitendinosus, and gracilis.
