Mr Ian McDermott is a Consultant Knee Surgeon at London Sports Orthopaedics within the London Bridge Hospital in London, UK.

He is also Honorary Professor Associate of Brunel University School of Sport & Education, Council Member and Trustee of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Council Member and Fellow of the Faculty of Sports & Exercise Medicine. Dr McDermott is Honorary Secretary of the UK Meniscal Study Group and was awarded the 2003 BASK President's Medal for research into mensical repair. His MS Higher Degree thesis is on 'The Biomechanics of Meniscal Transplantation'.
