Bequests

Several members of the KNEEguru bulletin board have asked about specific wording for bequests to the site in their wills. We think that one of these would be appropriate -

Percentage bequest

I give [insert percentage]% of my estate free of all duties to ftmg Associates Limited (its successors or assigns) for its general purposes. The receipt of the Managing Director, Chief Financial Officer, Company Secretary or other authorised officer for the time being of ftmg Associates Limited (its successors or assigns) is an absolute discharge to my executors.

Residual bequest

I give the rest and residue of my estate free of all duties to ftmg Associates Limited (its successors or assigns) for its general purposes. The receipt of the Managing Director, Chief Financial Officer, Company Secretary or other authorised officer for the time being of ftmg Associates Limited (its successors or assigns) is an absolute discharge to my executors.

Pecuniary bequest

I give the sum of $/£/etc........ free of all duties to ftmg Associates Limited (its successors or assigns) for its general purposes. The receipt of the Managing Director, Chief Financial Officer, Company Secretary or other authorised officer for the time being of ftmg Associates Limited (its successors or assigns) is an absolute discharge to my executors.

Specific bequest

I give [describe asset] free of all duties to ftmg Associates Limited (its successors or assigns) for its general purposes. The receipt of the Managing Director, Chief Financial Officer, Company Secretary or other authorised officer for the time being of ftmg Associates Limited (its successors or assigns) is an absolute discharge to my executors.
