The main features of the KNEEguru website
The KNEEguru website has recently been restructured to make it easier to locate site content. The main sections are now the:
- Homepage
- Bulletin Board
- Community Hub
- Forum Archives
We are still in the process of moving some of the content, eg dictionary, over to the Community Hub. This allows registered bulletin board users to post educational content on the Hub or to keep a rehab diary or discuss anything that is useful to other readers. There is also a space for members to collect together the content that is of particular interest.
Homepage
The homepage is simply an introductory page identifying the main sections of the site, together with links.
Bulletin Board
The current Bulletin Board is the third bulletin board we have had over the last decade. We have erased all the content of the original board, and archived the content of the second board. The current board has had well over 16,000 people register since its launch and it has thousands of pages of content, divided into several sections.
Community Hub
The Hub contains all the basic knee information for beginners in the 'General Knee Info' section and the 'Knee Arthritis' section. The Rehabilitation section is being upgraded. There is also more in-depth content and tutorials in the 'Keynotes' section. We are in the process of moving all the old 'Dictionary' content and the 'Products' content over to the Hub. The Hub is also open to our online community, allowing registered Bulletin Board members to post educational content, rehab diaries and anything else of interest to readers via their own 'blogs' (if you register on the Bulletin Board you are automatically registered to use the Community Hub).
The Community Hub also has contact details of hundreds of knee surgeons and knee clinics.
Forum Archives
These posts are frozen - one cannot enter content any more - but they are still valued for the sound practical advice there.
