This video shows hip extensions using ankle weights.
If you are unable to view the video, here is a still sequence of the exercise -

Relax on your stomach on a firm surface. Ankle weights can be used to increase the exercise resistance. |

With the knee straight, raise the first leg up, moving from the hip.. |
 |
Relax both legs together again. |
 |
Then raise the other leg. Repeat the sequence 10 times. |
