Professor David Murray is a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Oxford, and a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford. He specialises in hip and knee surgery, and has an international reputation for clinical, research and development work in this field: Professor Murray leads a team of clinical scientists who work with the Department of Engineering Sciences (Oxford); his team undertake biomechanical and clinical studies related to the knee and hip. He has, with this team, won a series of prizes for his work, including British and European Research Society Prizes.
