An epicondyle is a bony bump or 'knuckle' upon a rounded end (or condyle) of a bone.

On the lateral side the epicondyle of the femur is the site of attachment of the fibular collateral ligament. On the medial side it is where the tendinous part of adductor magnus attaches.
